This document explains how your personal information is collected, used, and protected under which legal framework. Please read carefully. By using the platform, you give explicit consent for your personal data to be processed in accordance with this policy, and acknowledge the inherent risks of the digital environment.
The AzFreelance platform collects the following personal and technical data to provide its services:
2.1. Security Measures: Standard security algorithms (SSL encryption, firewalls, and password hashing) are applied to protect your data.
2.2. Data Breach Disclaimer: The digital and global internet network cannot be 100% secure. In the event of hacker attacks, server breaches, external software intrusions, or force majeure events resulting in personal data, including internal correspondence (chats), phone numbers, or emails, falling into the hands of 3rd parties (cybercriminals), AzFreelance fully disclaims ALL direct and indirect material and moral liability. By using the platform, the user confirms they fully understand and accept this technological risk.
2.3. Payment and Financial Information: Our platform DOES NOT STORE your bank card (credit card) details ON ITS SERVERS. Payment transactions are carried out via the following licensed payment gateways depending on the platform type:
AzFreelance DOES NOT SELL user data to external companies for commercial purposes.
However, your data may be shared in the following specific cases and within a legal framework:
4.1. AI Scanning: To ensure the security of the AzFreelance ecosystem, EVERY piece of content shared on the platform (job postings, submitted proposals, user portfolios, and even one-on-one messages / chats between users) is scanned and automatically analyzed by global Artificial Intelligence (AI) moderation engines to prevent fraud (scams), illegal job offers, and malicious code.
4.2. Inviolability of Information: The AI is solely for security analysis (Pattern Recognition). Secrets, codes, or project details in your private messages are not used for commercial purposes, are not stored to train any AI model, and are not sold.
5.1. Rights (GDPR-like Format): You can view and edit your personal data at any time.
5.2. Full Data Deletion: You can permanently delete your account at any time using the Settings → Danger Zone menu. In this case, your name, email, and number will be deleted from our database.
5.3. Exceptions (Retained Data): To prevent fraud and reporting errors, the following data may be kept in special archives on the system even if the account is deleted:
6.1. Third-Party Service Providers: AzFreelance provides its technical services via reliable global service providers. By using the platform, you consent to your data being stored on these providers' servers — including outside Azerbaijan (in the US, UK, and other countries). Service categories used:
6.2. Data Minimization Principle: AzFreelance shares only the minimum data technically necessary for service provision with these providers. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. AzFreelance is not liable for technical failures or data loss in the providers' infrastructure.

8.1. Age Restriction: The AzFreelance platform is not directed at persons under 18 and knowingly collects no personal data from them. If you become aware that a minor you are the parent/guardian of has registered on the platform, immediately notify [email protected].
8.2. In Case of Discovery: Upon becoming aware of such a situation, all data of that user — excluding audit archives with unexpired legal terms — will be deleted immediately.
